Savage Arms is now offering a new .35-caliber version of its AccuCan silencer meant for .30- to .35-caliber, bolt-action rifles, with the exception of more-powerful rounds like the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge. Savage Arms AccuCans are lightweight and minimalist silencers optimized for field use. The suppressors are constructed from 7075 T6 aluminum along with some titanium components. Due to their ultra-light construction, they’re meant to be fired through bolt-action rifles only, and Savage Arms does not recommend shooting more than one round per second. Additionally, they suggest allowing the silencer and rifle to cool back to ambient temperature after every 20 rounds fired. AccuCans are designed to be directly mounted over industry standard ⅝x24 tpi threads, which are commonly found on bolt-action field or hunting rifles.
“Savage doesn’t just build rifles – the company has mastered the art of building flexible shooting systems. From the adjustable AccuTrigger and AccuFit stocks, to now offering suppressors to hunt quietly, Savage delivers unmatched field performance for hardcore riflemen,” said Josh Dahlke of HuntStand.
