First Look: SIG Sauer Echo Thermal Optics

by Braxton Taylor

New from SIG Sauer are the Echo SV50-LRF and SV35-LRF thermal sights. These two new optics have integrated environmental sensors for temperature, air pressure and humidity as well as a laser rangefinder and an onboard Applied Ballistics Ultralight ballistic computer to streamline the shooting process. In addition to this, both optics communicate via Bluetooth to the SIG Sauer BDX app on a smartphone or tablet. The BDX app calculates the ballistic information for your current load as well as providing information on muzzle energy for ethical hunting, adjust the elevation hold based on the inclination or declination of the rifle and calculates environmental factors that may affect your accuracy
