First Look: Heckler & Koch 75th Anniversary Firearms

by Braxton Taylor

Heckler & Koch is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and to mark this milestone, the German gunmaker is launching two special-edition, collectible firearms series. These collector’s models are inspired by the enduring partnership between HK and the German armed forces, the Bundeswehr, which spans over half a century. Pistols and rifles have a custom Cerakote finish in the Flecktarn and Tropentarn camouflage patterns used by the Bundeswehr to this day.

75th Anniversary Pistol Sets

Each set includes one Flecktarn pattern HK VP9 pistol and one Tropentarn pattern HK VP9 pistol and is presented in a custom-cut polymer hard case. The HK VP9 is the company’s current go-to standard 9mm duty pistol. These special-edition models are accompanied by a commemorative 75th anniversary challenge coin. These HK VP9 models are limited to just 1,000 pairs. To ensure their exclusivity and value, these HK VP9 sets will not be sold separately.

75th Anniversary MR Series Rifles

Like the HK VP9 pistols listed above, the HK 75th anniversary MR series rifles consist of limited edition MR556A1 and MR762A1 rifles, also available in Flecktarn and Tropentarn Cerakote finishes. With only 250 of each of these four variants available, these exclusive and unique models offer enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a piece of HK history. These rifles are chambered for the 5.56 NATO and 7.62mm NATO rounds respectively. Each rifle is also tastefully engraved with the HK 75th Anniversary logo and is packaged in a custom-cut polymer hard case with a custom matching Cerakote-finish knife and commemorative 75th anniversary challenge coin.

All HK 75th anniversary edition pistol and rifle sets are currently shipping. For pricing and availability, Heckler & Koch recommends customers reach out to their local HK firearms dealer.
