Benelli has just released the latest member of its flagship Lupo rifle family, the new Benellli Lupo Charred Timber edition. This sub-MOA bolt-action rifle can be had with either 22- or 24-inch barrels and in chamberings ranging from the popular classics to two of the more popular newer cartridges out there. The new Benelli Lupo Charred Timber’s calibers include the .308 Win, .30-’06 Sprng., .300 Win. Mag., 6.5 Creedmoor and 7 mm PRC rifle cartridges.

In addition to its new Charred Timber color scheme on the stock, which features drab and dull flat dark natural earth tones, this new rifle also includes Benelli’s Best DLC-style metal-surface treatment to give the barrel and action powerful and durable weatherproof anti-corrosion properties suitable for hard use in extremely rugged and technical conditions.

Benelli Lupo barrels are cold-hammer forged and cryogenically treated to relieve stresses on the molecular structure of the barrel steel after passing through the forging machine and being pounded against its mandrel.

The new Benelli Lupo Charred Timber rifle also differs from most bolt-action rifles with furniture that is completely modular and comes together on the receiver more in the manner of a shotgun than a traditional chassis/stocked bolt-action rifle. The furniture, such as the stock and the handguard, fastens directly to areas around the receiver. This alternative design choice also allows for a recoil-reducing/dampening devices to be placed inside the buttstock.

The new Benelli Lupo Best Charred Timber hunting rifles, regardless of caliber, all include an MSRP of $2,299. Benelli includes a ten-year warranty with each LUPO BEST.
