First Look: Safariland Solis Holster For The P365

The Safariland Group has recently expanded its Solis OWB (outside-the-waistband) holster product series to include more fits for SIG Sauer P365 pistols.

Originally launched in 2023, the Safariland Solis holster is a two-piece, hard-sided OWB holster built from a proprietary nylon-polymer compound known as SafariSeven. The Solis’ design goal was to provide an OWB solution to carriers who carried slimmer subcompact pistols with subcompact mounted tactical lights and red dots in a low-profile package.

SafariSeven material is not only durable, but it will also not scratch or mar a firearm’s finish. One of the unique aspects about Safariland Solis holsters is that they combine the signature ALS retention locking device that is popular with Safariland’s larger bucket-style duty holsters like the 6000 and 7000 series. In the case of the Solis, these more compact holsters also enjoy this added security and retention feature without the bulk of the other larger holsters.

Safariland Solis Holster Series Features

  • Red-dot sight compatible
  • Available in light-bearing and non-light-bearing configurations
  • ALS (Automatic Locking System) provides straight-up draw motion
  • Open-top design without SLS for quick retrieval of weapon
  • Two-piece reinforced holster body for increased strength
  • Accommodates up to .5-inch-tall front sights

“We designed the Solis holster to address the growing demand for compact, optics-ready firearm carry options,” said Eric Gasvoda, vice president and general manager of duty gear for Safariland. “Expanding support to the SIG Sauer P365 family underscores our ongoing commitment to equip our customers with cutting-edge gear that evolves alongside their needs.”

Retail pricing for Safariland Solis holsters start at $90. To learn more about all options and features as well as other products made by Safariland, visit Safariland’s website at safariland.com.
