Fiocchi USA has just launched the Covert X product line of defensive ammunition optimized for self-defense and concealed carriers. When it comes to defensive or duty ammo, flash signature is a critical consideration. Each of the five different calibers in the Fiocchi Covert X product line use unique powder formulations to prevent needless muzzle flash in order to reduce the firearm’s signature and not blind the shooter. Similarly, the powders used to load Covert X ammunition guarantee a more thorough burn through shorter barrels.
Covert X ammo is loaded with a modern jacketed hollow point bullet using a lead-alloy core and pre-cut serrations over its jacketing to guarantee controlled expansion at the muzzle velocities that shorter barreled carry guns tend to produce.
