Legacy Sports International is now shipping a version of the Howa 1500 bolt action rifle with an H-S Precision Superlite Gen 2 lightweight rifle stock.

The Japanese-made Howa 1500 bolt-action rifle combines elements from classic bolt-action rifles like the Mauser 98, Winchester Model 70 and Remington 700 to create a rugged and accurate rifle action that doesn’t break the bank. The Howa 1500 rifle models the come equipped with an H-S Precision Superlite Gen 2 stocks are available in the following calibers: .223 Rem., 6.5mm Grendel, 7.62×39mm, 6mm ARC, .22-250 Rem., .243 Win., 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win., 7mm Rem Mag., .300 Win Mag., .300 PRC and 7mm PRC. Barrels available with this action and stock combination can be had either blued or in a satin stainless finish. All rifles include threaded muzzles to facilitate the mounting of accessories such as a suppressor or a muzzle brake.

The H-S Precision Superlite Gen 2 stock is made from aluminum, polyurethane foams, Kevlar and other lightweight, strong but durable materials to deliver a rugged and accurate light weight field stock for precision rifles.

H-S Precision rifle stocks are fully manufactured in the U.S. The aluminum bedding block is CNC machined to the specific dimensions of the Howa 1500 barreled action. The aluminum bedding block is then placed into a mold, both sides of the mold are hand laminated with Kevlar, fiberglass and carbon fiber. Next, the mold is injected with a proprietary mixture of a dense polyurethane foam. Then the stock is hand finished to ensure that it is perfect and ready for the end user’s needs. As field stocks, these H-S Precision products maintain the traditional line and profile customary to most hunting rifles. This includes a triangular shaped buttstock, a curved wrist and a thin fore-end.
