Distraction devices such as flashbangs are typically single-use devices that are meant to stun, distract and disorient their recipients. Nextorch Industries, however, has just unveiled a brand-new, rechargeable, electronic distraction device, the USB-C rechargeable ND-30. The Nextorch ND30 is meant to serve as a non-lethal alternative to traditional flashbangs for tactical situations or training.
Nextorch Industries builds the ND-30 distraction device with an array of bright strobe lights and a 130-decibel “siren” that emits irritating, high-pitched sounds. The ND30’s external housing is manufactured from 6061-series, black-anodized aluminum for ruggedness and long life. Externally, the Nextorch ND30 also resembles a traditional flashbang device, with a safety ring and spoon. This compact design and “traditional” shape allows the ND30 to easily integrate with existing tactical gear, tactical pouches and other equipment. The device is USB-C rechargeable lithium-ion battery can provide up to 4,400 activations in a single full charge.
The Nextorch ND30 features an intense disorientation capability, emitting a blinding 11,000-lumen strobe light coupled with a piercing 130-decibel siren.
