First Look: XS Sights Handguard for Henry Rifles

by Braxton Taylor

Texas-based XS Sights has just launched a new handguard compatible with Henry lever-action rifles and carbines. The new XS Sights handguards bring a level of modernity and customization to the lever gun, one of the oldest types of repeating rifles in continuous use since the middle of the 19th century.

The new XS Sights LVR-HG handguard has six M-Lok slots on either side and a row of seven slots on its underside to allow users to install a wide variety of M-Lok-compatible accessories and options. The LVR-HG is manufactured and machined from aircraft grade aluminum and finished with black anodizing. LVR-HGs are compatible with all Henry lever action models that are chambered in .357 Mag, .38 Spl, .44 Mag, .44 Spl, and .45-70 Gov’t.

Besides the modularity afforded by the 19 M-LOK slots found on three sides, the lightweight aluminum construction and the open nature of M-Lok slots also helps the handguard to modulate excess barrel heat and to cool off during extended range sessions in a more efficient manner compared to traditional hardwood or synthetic furniture and fore-ends. In addition to this, because the aluminum material has a different density than the typical hardwoods or synthetic materials used for standard furniture, end users are also able to customize the final balance of their carbine by adding or removing M-Lok-compatible grips, texture or weight panels over strategic points.

XS Sights LVR-HG Highlights:

  • Aircraft-grade aluminum construction
  • 19 M-Lok attachment points
  • Low profile design that matches receiver lines for improved handling and stability
  • Angled slot cuts that can dissipates heat more efficiently

The LVR-HG has an MSRP of $247.50. To learn more about this new lever action handguard for Henry rifles and carbines or other long gun accessories and sights offered by XS Sights, visit xssights.com.
