If you’re anything like most of us at MeatEater, a good amount of your phone storage space is taken up by photos of your furry friends. Whether they’re proudly carrying their PR stick, lounging on the couch, posing with a limit of greenheads, or rolling in a mud puddle, the picture-perfect moments just never seem to stop.
Having a four-legged companion at your side makes outdoor adventures even better, and coming home to wagging tails can improve the very worst of days. The moniker “man’s best friend” is no coincidence; these hairy hounds really do have a special hold on our hearts. And it’s why we still love them even after they chew up brand new shoes, pee on your mother-in-law’s carpets, or shatter a glass off the coffee table with their tail.
Their unwavering devotion and unending entertainment deserve a celebration. So we want to see the goofiest, proudest, tail-waggin-est dog photos you have. Because we love dogs, and we want to see yours too!
If you don’t already have one, you will need to make an account on the site to comment and upload photos. The contest will run from Monday, May 12, to Friday, May 16. You can upload photos any time during this week to be considered for a prize. (We all have camera rolls filled with dog pics, but please upload only one photo per day.)
We’ll be picking a random-draw Daily Winner who will receive a $50 gift card to the MeatEater Store and a Eukanuba swag bag. The Crew Pick Winner and Overall Winner (People’s Choice) will each receive a $200 gift card to the MeatEater store, gift cards for 6 bags of Eukanuba dog food, and a $250 gift card to SCHEELS. (While all the good boys and girls entered in this contest deserve a prize, some will just have to settle for ear scratches and a treat.)
