In an attempt to fix a bugged defensive enchantment introduced in the latest Diablo 4 expansion, Blizzard seems to have bugged it again to near comical levels, leaving players who have Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil at their disposal essentially immortal. Diablo 4 players might want to get in on this too-good-to-be-true buff because it might be a matter of time before Blizzard patches it out.
The Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion introduced the Paladin and Warlock classes, made various changes and additions to the endgame, added a new campaign, and more. Notably, the Lord of Hatred expansion also introduced the Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil defensive enchantment, which grants damage reduction to the Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Rogue, and Spiritborn per the player’s Resolve stack, up to a maximum of eight Resolve stacks. The way it works is that every Aspect increases a player’s Resolve by 2, and they gain 2.5 – 4% Damage Reduction per Resolve; however, players found that they were not given the full damage reduction proposed by Glynn’s Anvil when the new expansion was first released. Now, as Blizzard has tried to fix the problem, things have gotten interesting.
Diablo 4 Tries to Fix Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil and Instead Makes Players Immortal
Following patch 3.0.2 for Diablo 4, players have found that they can now circumvent the eight-stack limit for Glynn’s Anvil and can add the Legendary Aspect to all of their gear, making themselves practically immortal due to the high Resolve and Damage Reduction stacking effect. One fan on Reddit shared that their Toughness has now surpassed 53 million, while some fans have reported Toughness stats exceeding 100 million with the right build. At those levels, players are essentially untouchable goliaths, as even 2 million Toughness is enough to get through Torment 12 in Diablo 4.
Unfortunately, the Sorcerer and Warlock are locked out of using Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil, but those who can use it are certainly having a good time with it. Diablo 4 players who have been taking advantage of this new bug seem to be using it to experiment with various builds and offensive strategies as they no longer need to worry about their defense because they are essentially immortal. They also seem to be taking down the very pesky Torment 12 Mephisto in droves. It has also been found that Druids in particular can benefit greatly from Glynn’s Anvil due to the class’s strong Resolve stacking capabilities, leading to Druid classes being the most capable of hitting that crazy 100 million Toughness stat.
