Nicolas Cage’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Operator has been officially added to the game. The skin arrived as part of Season 04 Reloaded, which also introduced a new Black Ops 7 Zombies map and plenty of other, smaller changes.
Season 04 has already been a busy period for the latest Treyarch-led entry in the Call of Duty franchise. The first half of the season launched on June 4, adding more story content and mode updates, consequently setting up another Reloaded-branded refresh.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 04 Reloaded Kicks Off with New Content
The refresh of Black Ops 7 Season 4 formally rolled out on June 25 across both PC and consoles, marking the midpoint of the ongoing season. The highlights of the latest content drop include the Kowakujō Zombies mode map, the Nick Cage Event Pass, and new weapons, as well as some balancing changes and other novelties.
Kowakujō and its event rewards are the main attraction for Black Ops 7 Zombies players, with the new map offering a distinctive setting modeled after a feudal Japanese castle in a volcanic region. Kowakujō advances the mode’s ongoing story by sending the crew after the final Shadowsmith, as well as the so-called “World Seed” MacGuffin. Debuting on this map are several new mobs: Hellhounds, Scorched Zombies, and Oni. As per usual, the developers added a new Wonder Weapon, with the patch notes describing it as “classified.” Early reports from Kowakujō players suggest that the weapon in question is a katana. A bomb shaped like the maneki-neko, a traditional Japanese “lucky cat,” can also be found on the map.
The other headline addition is Nicolas Cage, who appears as the Nick Cage Operator as part of the latest Black Ops 7 Event Pass. The pass also includes the AN-94 Assault Rifle and the Executioner’s Duet melee weapon. As previous leaks suggested, the character is modeled on a younger version of Cage, who is 62 in real life but appears to be in his late 30s or early 40s in the game. While he has a long list of iconic action movies, his Call of Duty Operator is not based on any particular character, with Cage simply playing himself. The Nick Cage Event Pass will be available for just under one month, with July 23 being the final day to work on it.
