Some Halo: Campaign Evolved players have until August 16 to claim a free skin to add to their collections. However, the new skin for Halo: Campaign Evolved will not be available to every player, as some specific requirements must be met beforehand.

In short, Halo: Campaign Evolved is a story-focused retelling of the 2001 Xbox launch title Halo: Combat Evolved. However, Campaign Evolved has support for local and online co-op gameplay modes for players who prefer to take on the game’s challenges with their friends. Although local co-op is officially exclusive to console players as of this writing, some Halo: Campaign Evolved players found a hidden split-screen mode that was never removed from the game’s configuration files on Windows. Ergo, PC players can mod Halo: Campaign Evolved to play in split-screen mode.

Some Halo: Campaign Evolved players looking to add some skins to their digital collections now have a chance to gain one more. Halo players have until Sunday, August 16 to claim a free Master Chief skin via Uniways. Dubbed the Shadowfrost armor, this new skin for Master Chief is a white suit with turquoise accents across the shoulders and upper body. Master Chief’s visor will gain a purple tint when the Shadowfrost armor is equipped. After signing up for Uniways, eligible users can then generate a new code to redeem on Halo Waypoint. However, the Shadowfrost skin is only available to higher education students.

Unlike other freebies now available for Halo: Campaign Evolved, offers from Unidays are only available to students who attend an accredited college or university. Users must be at least 16 or older and have either a personal email address from their institution or a valid student ID to qualify for a Unidays account. Additionally, staff members across any level of education can sign up for a Unidays account. After signing in to Halo Waypoint with a Microsoft or Xbox account, Halo players can head to the Drops and Code Redemption page and enter the Shadowfrost armor skin code from Uniways. Since Halo: Campaign Evolved supports cross-progression, the code should work on all platforms.
