Family Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (FSGLI) provides up to a maximum of $100,000 of insurance coverage for spouses.
Family Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (FSGLI) is a life insurance program for spouses and dependent children of military members insured under SGLI.
FSGLI provides up to a maximum of $100,000 of insurance coverage for spouses, but it can’t be more than the SGLI coverage the service member has. Children are automatically covered under a $10,000 free policy.
Spouse coverage is issued in increments of $10,000, at a monthly cost that ranges from $0.40 to $4.00 per $10,000 coverage increment based on the age of the spouse.
Service members should contact their personnel office for premium payment information or update their record in the SGLI Online Enrollment System (SOES).
FSGLI premiums are automatically deducted from the service member’s pay.
